At that moment, Fu tracked the smell of the Huntsman and Jake realized he was after the unicorns. Gramps warns Jake that he must obey him without hesitation, and Jake promises to do so. Later, in Central Park, Lao Shi continues on with his lesson. As Jake grabs himself, he unwillingly reverts to his human form and nearly falls to his death. Jake attempts to show off his skills and shapeshifts into a dragon, and hovering above them.
Fu Dog tells Jake that if he can make it on NYC he can make it anywhere, but Gramps warns that Jake has to master his dragon powers first. On a rooftop, Luong Lao Shi, addressed as "Gramps" by grandson Jake, shows him the landscape of New York City telling him that it is his responsibility to protect all magical creatures living within it. But when Grandpa is caught by the Huntsman and Huntsgirl, Jake must use the "pointless" training to confront them and save the day. Jake gets fed up when Grandpa puts him through a series of disgusting and seemingly pointless training exercises.
